  • Earthquake tremors felt in Peshawar

    Earthquake tremors measuring 7.2 magnitude on the Richter Scale shook parts of Nepal, India and were also felt in Pakistan on Sunday. However, there were no immediate reports of damages or casualties.

    Earthquake jolts were felt in Peshawar and surrounding areas, according to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD).

    Media reports said the powerful aftershock was felt in Kathmandu, Delhi and Dhaka, with no immediate report of damages of loss of lives from anywhere.

    The latest quake struck northeast of Kathmandu near the border with China at a depth of 10 kilometres (6.2 miles), the US Geological Survey said.
