  • Khan distributes Eid gifts among IDPs

Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan on Monday arrived in Bannu to spend Eid day with thousands of IDPs of North Waziristan living in government-run camps.

Khan, who had promised to offer Eid prayer with IDPs in Bannu, could not arrive timely in the town due to bad weather as his helicopter was landed in Kohat earlier today.

Khan, meanwhile, arrived in Bannu after Eid prayers at around 11:30.

“We are striving to provide all-out facilities to you. Our government is making arrangements for rehabilitation of your families… We pray for your safe return to homes,” Khan said while distributing Eid gifts among IDP families.

Imran Khan said that the provincial government is taking steps for education of 0.4 million children of IDPs in their camps. On the occasion, Khan condemned ban on IDPs’ entry in Sindh and Punjab.

According to provincial government officials, Khan will spend Eid day with IDP families.
