    Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiris including a seven-year old girl in Kupwara district, today in occupied Kashmir.

    In an act of revenge the troops killed three youth during a crackdown operation in Jagtyial area of the district. The forces also shot dead a girl, Kaneeza, and injured a minor boy Faisal in the area. Earlier, an Indian policeman was injured in an attack in the same area. The troops also destroyed the house where the youth were staying in. Hurriyet leaders Bilal Ahmad Siddiqui, Muhammad Musaddiq Aadil and Muhammad Ramzan Khan in their separate statements strongly condemned the killings.

    The All Parties Hurriyet Conference in a statement issued in Srinagar, today, condemned the Indian authorities for invoking black law, Public Safety Act on illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and subjecting them to third-degree torture in jails. The APHC while terming the Indian policy towards political prisoners as brutal and inhuman urged the international community to intervene in the matter.

    The Jammu and Kashmir Mass Movement Chairperson, Farida Behanji, during a visit to the relatives of the detained Kashmiri youth and activists in Bandipora demanded immediate release of all illegal detained Kashmiris languishing in different jails. Another Hurriyet delegation visited several hospitals in Srinagar and enquired about the health conditions of people who were injured during recent protest demonstrations in Kulgam and Pulwama districts.

    Indian police arrested the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front district Kulgam President, Abdul Sattar, during a raid on his house. The JKLF in a statement denounced the fresh arrest spree unleashed by Indian police in the territory. Ummat-e-Islami Chief, Qazi Ahmed Yasir in a statement called for immediate release of party leader Moulana Sarjan Barkati.

    Meanwhile, after 27 years of the Gaw Kadal massacre, puppet administration has admitted that 22 unarmed protestors were killed and a dozen were injured in the incident. However, the actual number is much higher than this. The confession was made in response to a petition filed by human rights activist Muhammad Ahsan Untoo before the territory’s Human Rights Commission in April 2012. The troops had shot dead more than 50 innocent people the area on January 21 in 1990 during their protest against the molestation of several women by troops, the previous night.
