    The 70th Independence Day of Gilgit Baltistan is being celebrated in Gilgit-Baltistan with traditional zeal and fervor on Wednesday (November 1).

    The day dawned with special prayers in the mosques after Fajr prayers for solidarity of Pakistan, unity of Muslim Ummah and liberation of Muslim occupied territories including Kashmir and Palestine.

    In Gilgit, the main function of the day will be held in historic Chinar Garden.

    Governor Gilgit-Baltistan Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan and Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman will hoist the national flag.

    They will also lay floral wreath at the yadgar -e-shahuda and offer Fateha.
