Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is taking keen interest in development of Gilgit Baltistan to bring it at par with developed areas of the country.
This was stated by Minister of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Muhammad Barjees Tahir while presiding over a meeting in Gilgit on Wednesday.
In the meeting, ongoing Public Sector Development Program projects in Gilgit-Baltistan were reviewed.
Addressing a news conference in Gilgit, he said Government has approved two billion rupees for Naltar phase four hydro power project to overcome energy shortage in the area.
He said 3G and 4G internet service will be launched in AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan soon.
