  • GB Forest Minister passed away

    Gilgit-Baltistan’s Minister for Forest Haji Muhammad Wakil passed away today due to a sudden heart attack.

    He reportedly complained of a pain in his chest after attending the final match of a polo tournament in the Gorikot area of Astore District.

    He was rushed to the nearby Eidgah District Headquarters Hospital, where he breathed his last due to a cardiac arrest.

    The body of the minister is being shifted to Chilas, from where it will be taken to Tangir Valley, his native area, for burial tomorrow.

    GB Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeezur Rehman has expressed condolence on the sudden demise of the minister who had won from the Tangir Valley on a PMLN ticket.

    The minister is survived by four wives. He did not have any children.
