    COAS General Bajwa Meets UAE PM COAS General Bajwa Meets UAE PM

    Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Saturday met Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), who also rules Dubai here at the Zabeel Palace.

    In his latest visit, which marks the second one to the UAE this year, General Bajwa discussed with Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum the strategic relations between Pakistan and the UAE, as well as various other issues pertaining to the military and the ongoing regional situation.

    While discussing the role of the Pakistani community in the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed praised its constructive and effective role in the development and building of the UAE.

    General Bajwa expressed gratitude to Sheikh Mohammed for the humanitarian assistance the UAE provides to Pakistanis living there and the highly-valued development projects implemented in Pakistan in line with the directives of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

    Sheikh Mohammed, following his meeting with the COAS, praised the constructive role of Pakistanis living in UAE and their effective contribution to the country’s development.

    The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, Mohammad Bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and The Future, Dr Anwar Bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Lt. General Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces; and a number of senior civilian and military officials.
