    Pakistan ambassador to the United States Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry while reacting to US President Donald Trump criticism of Pakistan during his speech on Tuesday said that there are no safe havens for terrorists in Pakistan.

    He said that Pakistan rendered enormous sacrifices and contributions in fight against terrorism and added that it is regrettable that our efforts were not recognized.

    Aizaz Chaudhry said Pakistan was in favour of a peaceful Afghanistan and ready for playing a role for it because without Pakistan peace could not be restored there.

    Earlier Pakistan Foreign Ministry issued a statement asserting its commitment to fighting terrorism. "No country in the world has suffered more than Pakistan from the scourge of terrorism, often perpetrated from outside our borders.

    It is, therefore disappointing that the US policy statement ignores the enormous sacrifices rendered by the Pakistani nation in this effort," it said.
