Former interior minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan complained on Thursday that no consultation was held with him before appointing Senator Yaqoob Nasar as party’s acting president.

The disgruntled politician stated that no one bothers to aware him of party affairs, complaining why the name of to-be acting president was first leaked in the media. Sources revealed that Nisar also expressed disappointment at building of trust from PML-N’s executive committee over already selected acting president.

He believes that there are other party leaders as well with the same concerns, sources told. It should be mentioned that Nisar had resigned from his ministry over similar complains. A session of PML-N’s general counsel will be held on September 7 in which the permanent party president will be appointed. It is likely that Punjab CM Shehbaz Sharif will secure this position.

Earlier on Wednesday, Nisar had said that the country is passing through a difficult phase at the moment, adding that next three to four months are very important for the political well-being.
