    Police Martyrs  Day is being observed all across the country today to pay glorious tribute to the policemen who laid down their lives fighting against terrorists and criminal elements everywhere.

    In a Twit issued on social media by DG ISPR the Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa lauding the ultimate sacrifices rendered by the policemen in country’s fight against terrorism and crimes in his message saluted the martyred police and their brave families vowing that their sacrifices will not go wasye,

    Army Chief’s message read: “Salute to Shuhadas of Police and their brave families from Pak Armed Forces. Our sacrifices shall not go waste.”

    Rallies and various programs are being organized in all major and minor cities of the country to pay tribute to the police officers who laid their lives fighting against the menace of terrorism.

    According to ISPR Pak army imparted anti-terrorism fighting training to over 60,000 policemen. Seventeen thousand of the policemen trained by the Pak Army were from Sindh; 20,000 from Punjab; 18,000 from Khyber Pakhtwankhwa, and 3,000 youth from Balochistan.

    ISPR said that 600 personnel of Islamabad police were also imparted this special training while 2,200 personnel of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and 150 persnnel of Gilgit Baltistan police were also imparted the special anti-terrorism training by the Pak Army.
