    Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Aizaz Chaudhry says Islamabad's counter terrorism efforts have resulted in a significant decline in terrorist attacks in the country.

    Talking to APP in Washington, he said that Pakistan has been a victim of terrorism and has paid a staggering human and financial cost in the fight against this menace.

    The envoy said that Pakistan is maintaining the momentum in fighting terrorism as is evident through Operation Rad-ul-Fasaad and the recently launched Operation Khyber-IV.

    Meanwhile, Pakistan's Ambassador to United States Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhry has urged the US multinational firms to explore the countless investment opportunities in Pakistan by taking advantage of favourable investment climate.

    He was talking to the representatives of the US multinational firms during a luncheon reception hosted in his honour by the Potomac Exchange, in Washington DC.

    The Ambassador said that the security situation in Pakistan has improved considerably. The terrorists are on the run and their infrastructure has been dismantled during counter terrorism operations.

    Aizaz Chaudhry said, the improved security situation is having a dynamic effect on our economy and Pakistan is attracting foreign investment from all over the world. He said all the economic indicators are projecting upward trend in various sectors of the economy.

    Narrating the salient features of Pakistan China Economic Corridor project, he said that CPEC would benefit not only Pakistan but the entire region.

    President of the Potomac Exchange Mrs. Katherine Moss said that the US business community is delighted to know about the improvement in the economic and security situation in Pakistan, and looking forward to benefit from new investment opportunities in the country.
