    Countrywide Rain Forecast From Tomorrow Countrywide Rain Forecast From Tomorrow

    The Meteorological Department has forecast countrywide rains starting tomorrow. The relevant departments are directed to be remain on high alert over rain-caused landslides in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and upper area of Khyber Pakhtwankhwa as well as floods in ponds, rainwater drains, nullahs, and low laying areas.

    During the next 24 hours the weather is expected to remain mainly hot and humid in plain areas of the country. According to the Met Department monsoon winds will enter upper areas of the country today which by the middle of next week would take most areas of the country in its grips. Thunder showers are forecast to lash most parts of Islamabad, upper Punjab, and Kashmir. Heavy rains may lash in scattered areas.

    During Tuesday to Thursday next week thunder rains with gusty winds would lash scattered areas in Khyber Pakhtwankhwa, FATA, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir. Heavy rains may also lash some areas during this time.

    From Friday to Sunday thunder rains may lash parts of Sindh and eastern Balochistan while heavy rains may lash some areas. The rains are expected to cause floods in in ponds, rainwater drains, nullahs, and low laying areas in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, D G Khan Division, Islamabad, Khyber Pakhtwankhwa province.

    Intermittent rains in hilly areas of Malakand, Hazara Division, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir are feared to give way to landslides.
