  • Protesters didn't produce even one megawatt: Abid Sher

Abid Sher Ali Abid Sher Ali

State Minister for Water and Power lashed out at his PML-N opponents accusing them of hindering progress, claiming they didn’t even produce one megawatt of electricity.

He answered to the questions raised by Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah saying prolonged power outages of 18 hours used to occur in previous regimes. “It is the vision of PM Nawaz Sharif to eliminate power outages which will happen very soon,” he vowed.

Abid Sher Ali claimed to improve the power transmission system and that they were adding over 500 megawatts each month. He stated, “Sahiwal Coal Power Project will be added to the system by next month. There are some regions in the country with zero power outages.”

While talking to a presser in Peshawar, he told that only those areas would receive power supply where line losses were negligible, warning that electricity thieves would no longer be given power supply.

Abid Sher Ali shed light on electricity supply in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and told that four new grid stations were being built in the province. “Problem arises when big figures steal from power supply,” he said while claiming that the district nazim of Charsadda Fahad Riaz was amongst those involved in the terrible act.

He challenged the KP government to take action against him.
