Federal Information Minister Maryam Aurangzeb on Wednesday not only termed Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s recent claim “false” but also dared the cricketer-turned-politician to name the person who offered him Rs 10 billion to stay silent over Panama leaks issue.

Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Wednesday, the minister maintained that after the SC bench did not consider PTI’s submissions as proofs in Panamagate case, the party has started a smear campaign against the three judges on social media while the other two are being praised.

“He (Imran Khan) has this habit of criticising institutions to keep them under pressure. He even wants the judiciary to rule only in his favour,” said the minister.

She reminded the PTI chief that he leveled allegations of rigging in 2013 general elections but forgot that he too secured victory in a number of constituencies during the polls.

Addressing a gathering in Peshawar’s Shaukat Khanum Hospital, Imran Khan claimed that he was offered Rs10 billion to stay silent over the Panamagate issue.
