Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that he will complete census till May 25 nationwide and the results will be released.
During a joint media briefing with Chief of Statistics Department Asif Bajwa, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that census is being carried out transparently and he has replied to the letter of CM Sindh regarding transparency and said that constituencies is job of Election Commission.
Ishaq Dar said that the first phase of census has been completed and the second phase will begin on Apriil 25, while the census process will be completed till May 25 and the results will be released.
Finance Minister paid tribute to military, civil institutions and other census staff, saying that census is a national responsibility and those contributing in that process deserve congratulations.
Finance minister thanked all provincial and local governments for their cooperation in census, saying that international representatives and organizations are satisfied with census process.
Chief of Statistics Department Asif Bajwa told that 87 districts of country will be covered for census in next phase.
