  • Britain understands Pakistan's concerns over MQM founder's issue: British Interior Minister

    British Secretary of the Interior, Amber Rudd has said on Tuesday that the British government understands Pakistan’s concerns over issue regarding MQM and the decision would be made as per the law.

    Rudd convened a meeting with Minister for the Interior, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in the federal capital.

    During the sitting, she said that no one is above the law in Britain. The two leaders discussed several matters of mutual importance including anti-terrorism, immigration, stability and bilateral terms.

    While addressing a joint press conference after the meeting, the British official said that Pakistan suffered the most in war on terror however, the security situation in the country has bettered in the last two years.

    Pakistan’s economy is also growing consistently, she said and added that there remains a lot to achieve.

    She said that Britain shares close ties with the people of Pakistan and expatriates residing in Britain. The British government wishes to continue partnership with Pakistan.

    The English minister congratulated the people of Pakistan in advance for March 23, Resolution Day.

    On the occasion, Chaudhry Nisar said that Pak-British relations go way back in time. He branded meeting with British counterpart a success and said that the two countries understood each other’s perspective in a better way.

    He expressed hope that top British officials would continue to visit Pakistan.

    The federal minister said that an agreement was signed regarding Pakistani immigrants illegally residing in Britain among discussion over other matters of importance.
