  • PIA aircraft PK757 escorted after terror threat

    A Pakistan International Airline flight was escorted to London's Stansted airport by Royal Air Force Typhoon aircraft after reports of a 'suspicious object' on the flight.

    “Quick Reaction Alert Typhoon aircraft were launched this afternoon from RAF Coningsby to intercept a civilian aircraft,” the Ministry of Defence said.

    “The aircraft was intercepted and safely escorted to Stansted airport,” the ministry said.

    Flight PK757 took off from Lahore and landed at about 3pm local time.
