    At least twenty three dead bodies of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight PK-661 crash victims have been shifted to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital (PIMS) in Islamabad.

    Sources told the corpses were taken to Islamabad from Abbottabad on three helicopters of Pakistan Army.

    Talking to media, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry said that the bodies would be handed over to the families after proper DNA test which will take six to eight days.

    On the other hand, the accident spot has been completely sealed for the investigation.

    At least five bodies of the sufferers have been identified at Ayub Medical Complex in Abbottabad through biometric system.

    Earlier, ATR-42 also known as PK-661 was en route to Islamabad from Chitral on Wednesday evening when it lost communication with air traffic control and crashed some ten kilometers of Havelian.

    All 47 persons on board the ill-fated aircraft including five crew members and known religious scholar Junaid Jamshed, his wife along with Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chitral Osama Warraich have been confirmed dead.
