A local court in Islamabad on Monday has issued arrest warrants of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) MNA Sheikh Rohail Asghar and his driver Zulfiqar in security guard murder case.
Judicial Magistrate Humayun Dilawar conducted the hearing of the case in which the suspects were to be indicted.
During the previous hearing, the court had approved the bail of Rohail Asghar and his driver over surety bonds worth Rs2 lac.
The suspects failed to submit the required amount in the court after which their warrants were issued.
The defendants’ lawyer explained that the surety bonds have to be submitted in cash for which the amount has yet to be taken out from the bank therefore; time should be granted to them for this procedure.
The judge remarked that why the amount was not withdrawn before and adjourned the hearing for indefinite period.
A case regarding the murder of security guard in Blue Area has been registered against PML-N’s Rohail Asghar and his driver in Kohsar police station.
