Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) head Maulana Fazlur Rehman today called on former President and PPP Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari in London and discussed the Panama Leaks.
According to sources privy to the meeting, Maulana Fazlur Rehman advised Asif Zardari to consider meeting Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
The former president, sources add, did not make any commitment whether or not he would meet the prime minister, who was also in London for medical examination.
Federal Minister for Privatization Zubair Umar said that no meeting was scheduled between Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari.
The two leaders, he said, could meet in a market.
I am in London, but I cannot confirm the meeting’s schedule, he said.
