    Finance Minister Ishaq has said that though offshore companies are not illegal but but they should be regulated. The committee to be formed to make the ToRs for Panama papers enquiry will be announced ina day or two, he added while addressing a ceremony of Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) here.

    The SECP’s laws should be stringent so as to allow it to take action against fraudsters, he said.

    He also claimed that the strong macro economic indicators today prove betterment of Pakistan economics.

    There has 56 percent tax growth while we have brought down budget deficit from 8.8 percent to 4.3 percent and the foreign exchange reserves is at record high level, he added.

    It was not an easy task to slash fiscal deficit in a short span of only three years, the government introduced reforms in economic institutions, now no one could get loan written off by using political influence, the finance minister said.

    Calling refund of monies to the effectees of Innovative Investment Bank encouraging Ishaq Dar said that strengthening institutions will strengthen the country.

    Pakistan will be the 18th biggest economy of the world in 2025 but by pursuing current policies this target could be achieved even earlier.Dar
