  • Security arrangements finalised for PTI's rally in Islamabad

    Islamabad’s administration prepared itself for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s public gathering to be held today (Sunday) at F-9 Park in Islamabad. Security arrangements were finalised while eight thousand officers will be designated for assuring security during the gathering.

    Section 144 has been imposed in the city and the use of drones has been prohibited. Holidays of the district’s administration as well as police officers have been suspended.

    An additional 1800 officers along with Rangers will also be appointed for the security of Islamabad’s Red Zone area. CCTV cameras will also be placed at the site of gathering to monitor the security situation, for which a control room has also been formed.

    A final traffic plan has also been organized to assure smooth flow of traffic with minimum disruptions.

    On the other hand, according to a written code of conduct between PTI and the administration, action shall be taken and a case will be registered against the PTI’s administration for the rally in case of damage to any of the state property at F-9 Park or the roads.

    The public gathering will end by 10:00 pm and the park will be vacated by 11:00pm.

    Meanwhile PTI is claims that it is expecting more than a hundred thousand people at its Foundation Day celebrations.
