  • Earthquake hits Pakistan, tremors felt in various citie

    An earthquake of magnitude 6.0 on the Richter scale jolted many parts of Pakistan Monday afternoon.

    The MET department confirmed the epicentre of the quake to be near the Afghan-Tajikistan border.
    Tremors were felt in various parts of the country including Islamabad, Faisalabad, Mianwali, Peshawar and Sargodah.

    Initial reports have not revealed any injuries thus far, however, the quake spread panic among people and they rushed out of their homes. No loss of life or property has been reported.

    The earthquake measured 6.0 on the Richter scale and rain in ongoing across many parts of the country.
