Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has got the powers to hold elections in cantonment board areas as a presidential ordinance was issued overnight to that effect.
After the ordinance, the ECP will be empowered to conduct fresh demarcations and appoint returning officers.
Attorney General will produce the ordinance before the Supreme Court today.
