  • PTI condemns TTP for Peshawar massacre: Mazari

    Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Sunday condemned banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other terror groups for “unleashing brutality” at Army Public School in Peshawar.

    In a media briefing after core committee’s meeting, PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari said that nation and security forces were united against terrorism. The PTI spokesperson said that core committee touched upon several important issues including return of Afghan refugees from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

    Mazari said that talks on the formation of judicial commission would conclude soon. “A couple of points needed to be finalized for the establishment of commission,” she stated.

    “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will have no objections if commission is formed through a presidential ordinance,” she added.

    "PTI stands shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces for eradication of the cancer of terrorism from the land of pure.

    "PTI Core Committee notes that people of Pakistan and the armed forces shall together eliminate terrorism and stands by them.

    "PTI endorses national stance of a united front against extremist elements & commends the coming together of nation in this difficult time.

    Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Core Committee extended its unbound support to the armed forces and law enforcement agencies. The Core Committee noted that there could be absolutely no justification for the barbaric genocide of December16, Peshawar.

    "PTI Core Committee strongly condemned the TTP and all other extremist groups inflicting brutalities on the people of Pakistan.

    "The committee noted that such incident has no precedent in country's history and will live in our memories as a day of odium & aversion.

    "The core committee conveyed its sincere condolences to the bereaved families of the victims of Peshawar Tragedy. The core committee expressed its deep sorrow over the loss of innocent lives in the barbaric attack of December 16. 

    "PTI Core Committee held a meeting today, in the Federal Capital, and strongly condemned the Peshawar attack."
