Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that all members would appear before National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq on October 29.
Speaking to journalists before core committee’s meeting, Quershi said that PTI would finalize its strategy in response to the Speaker’s notice regarding resignation. “All members will appeal before the speaker on Oct 29. It will depend upon the speaker whether he calls us individually or collectively.”
He maintained Imran Khan has a very clear stance about resignations. The government has run away from negotiations with the Tehreek-e-Insaf, he said, adding that it was also hesitant to set up a judicial commission on rigging.
To a question, he said that PTI was aware of difficulties being faced by Allama Tahir ul Qadri at his sit-in. The PTI Vice Chairman said that anthems and PTI’s songs would not be played during Muharram. He, however, asserted that sit-in would continue even during Muharram.
