Farooq Khan has been visiting the Constitution Avenue twice a week since August 15 but Khan does not come here to participate at the sit-ins. He is here in search of his younger brother and nephew missing since August 14.

Mohammad Zahid, 16, and Mohammad Hussain, 15, left their homes in Peshawar to participate in Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s sit-in on August 14.

“I was at work when I was told that they were seen sitting in the buses arranged by the local leadership of the PTI to take the party’s supporters to the sit-in in Islamabad,” he said.

He said he was desperate and came to Islamabad twice a week to search for the missing boys.

“They don’t have their own cellphones and have not gotten in-touch with us in the last month and a half,” he said.

Participants at the sit-in have suggested Farooq Khan to visit police stations in the capital as the boys might be in police custody. “My mother is a diabetes patient. She misses her son dearly and asks me to keep going to Islamabad till I find them,” he said.
