    Pakistan Army has been continuously conductng relief and rescue activities in Multan, Muzaffargarh and Jhang whereas Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal visited Punjnad Headworks and Uch Sharif today.

    According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), army men in flood hit areas of Multan, Muzaffargarh and Jhang are conducting rescue operations utilizing 7 helicopters and 335 boats. 59 ton ration has been distributed among the flood victims through helicopter. Also, 16 army medical camps have been installed in Multan and Jhang whereas mobile medical teams have been sent off to far flung areas.

    ISPR further informed that Corps Commander Bahawalpur Lieutenant General Javed Iqbal visited Punjnad and Uch Sharif, reviewed the arrangements in details and expressed contentment.

    ISPR stated that army is transferring the flood affectees to safe havens in Bahawalpur through boats and are determined to face any uncertainty.

    Flood hit areas are constantly under Pakistan army’s Ariel surveillance so a keen eye be kept on the persisting situation
