  • Appoint new PM from PML-N, get one month extension: Tahirul Qadri

PAT Chief said if Nawaz nominated another PM from his party, he would give one more month

Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr. Tahirul Qadri said that he was ready to give one more month to the government for investigation of Model Town incident if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif resigned from his post for a month. He said that if Nawaz Sharif was ready to resign for a month and appoint a new Prime Minister in his place then he was also ready to extend his deadline for a month.
Criticizing the speeches made by Opposition Leader Khurshid Shah and other leaders in the National Assembly Tahirul Qadri said that these speeches were proofs that even the p[arliamentarians realized that the final moments of their so-called democracy had arrived.
Earlier, PAT chief directed the protesters to remove the tents from the sit-in spot after his speech so that people could see the ‘ocean of revolutionaries’.
Tahirul Qadri said that none of the points raised by him has ever been countered by these so-called democrats. He said that equality before law was the basic fundamental right of the people of Pakistan. He said that common man is deprived of his rights in this country. He said that the constitution was made only for the rich while the poor continued to suffer inequalities and injustice.
Mentioning Model Town incident, Tahirul Qadri said that the victims of the incident were deprived of their right for more than 2 months. He said that those who abrogated the constitution had no right to talk of democracy.
“Mr. Khurshid Shah! Your words are not constitution”, said PAT chief addressing the Opposition Leader. “75% of this assembly was in contradiction of the constitution. These assemblies must be dissolved”, said Tahirul Qadri. Qadri asked, “Are we against the constitution or these assemblies”.
Tahirul Qadri said that 600 families were ruling entire Pakistan. He said that Prime Minister surely has power to resign from the Assembly. He said that he was ready to give one month to the Prime Minister if he was ready to resign and allow the inquiry commission to complete its work. Earlier today, while talking to Dunya News, PM Nawaz Sharif had said that it was not under his powers to accept the unconstitutional demands of the protesters while the constitutional demands had already been accepted.

During the speech, a woman from Muzaffargarh was called on to the stage whose daughter had been gang-raped a few months back in Muzaffargarh and had later committed suicide for not being able to get justice from the courts. Dr. Qadri called the woman on stage and sympathized with her.
