Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain while terming Dr.Tahir-ul-Qadri’s demands as genuine and legal said that the present rulers should leave voluntarily.
MQM chief maintained that the bloodshed is intolerable now and the rulers should leave now. The veteran politician lamented that if the government is not accepting fair demands of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) asking what one can do if faced by such a situation.
He said that fourteen people were killed and eighty were injured on June 17 in Model Town which included even women and children but despite the court orders, an F.I.R is not being registered.
“These protest sit-ins are going on for 15 days, is this someone kind of joke going on”, asked an angry Altaf Hussain. He repeated his old demands of ending feudalism and of more administrative units besides the already present four provinces.
Earlier, Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat-ul-Ibad said that government should accept PAT’s demands as the demands are fair and legal adding that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain too will join the public protest.
It must be remembered that PAT and federal government talks have ended with protesting party chief Tahir-ul-Qadri announcing that there will be no further talks.
