Terming Qadri’s demands ‘unrealistic’, government sources said that the government will ‘expose real agenda’ behind Tahirul Qadri’s protest march.

Earlier, Dr Tahirul Qadri announced that he extended the deadline until 9:30pm Wednesday upon government’s request, saying that the government’s delegate has gone to deliberate the two immediate demands with the Prime Minister.

The details of PAT chief’s demands which are as follows.
1 – Case registration against nominated accused of Model Town tragedy
2 – Resignations of Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and provincial ministers

Qadri said that he laid the condition of dialogue before the delegate saying that the dialogue is only possible if the delegate can accept at least two demands. He said the delegate did not have the authority to accept the demands, adding that they have left to deliberate it with the Prime Minister. He termed this meeting as the ‘meeting with the last delegate’ and ‘last effort’.

PAT chief warned that the deadline can only be extended for a few hours so talks can be held but the ‘Inqilab March’ cannot be delayed anymore and the participants will not return home until all the demands are met. He urged those watching his address on TV to quit sitting back and to participate in the ‘revolution march’.

Qadri urged the residents of Islamabad and Rawalpindi ‘who believe they’re being subjected to injustice and oppression’ to reach the protest venue within two hours. “Those who think all is well can stay at home, but those who feel oppressed have to be on roads and join us for the revolution”, he said.

“Those who remain seated at home and are silent over the oppression, have sided with the oppressors.” “Aren’t I fighting for your future and the future of your children?” He asked. “Get out for the sake of your children and generations to come…”
