The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee announced on Monday that the moon of the month of Shawwal had been sighted and that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Tuesday.
The announcement was made by Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman, after chairing the meeting of the committee in Karachi.
Rehman said confirmations of moon sighting had been received from many parts of the country.
The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee had convened earlier in a meeting for the moon sighting.
