Federal government has decided to implement a weapon policy after a meeting with high officials on Monday. Final deadline will be given for the renewal of license for prohibited gun ports.
According to sources, top officials in their meeting with Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan have expressed concern over the renewal of license for prohibitied multi- gun ports on Monday. In the past five years, more than 60, 000 licenses have been issued for prohibited gun ports but the Interior Ministry does not have a record of majority of the licenses issues. Investigation for the banned gun ports is under way.
According to the new nuclear weapon policy, deadline will be given to renew those prohibited gun port licenses for which no record can be found. The new policy will be announced soon after Eid.
