US ambassador to Islamabad Richard Olson today called on Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali in Islamabad.
According to a statement, Chaudhry Nisar emphasized on the need to have close contacts and cooperation between Pakistan and the US for regional stability.
He said that peace could be restored in the region only through bilateral cooperation between the two countries. The US envoy praised Pakistan’s ongoing efforts for peace.
