Minister of State for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar has said major reforms introduced in drug regulation over the last few years have helped improve Pakistani pharmaceutical exports.
While addressing a pharmaceutical export seminar in Islamabad on Friday, State Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar said it is the first time that bar codes are being introduced for all medicine packs as per the international standards which will give a major boost to the country’s exports.
She said it will not only help in availability of quality drugs to ailing patients but also eradicate the menace of spurious drugs. She pointed out that a series of training workshops has been organized to enhance the capacity of drug regulatory authority.
