Cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next 12 hours, however, light rain with snow over the hills is expected at isolated places in Malakand division, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas, Pakistan Meteorological Department reported on Friday.
Frost would occur in Islamabad and Potohar region (Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal).
Early morning, temperature of some major cities including Islamabad was recorded at 2°C, Lahore 6°C, Karachi 13°C, Peshawar 4°C, Quetta -1°C, Gilgit -2°C, Murree -3°C and Muzaffarabad 2°C.
Coldest places recorded during last 24 hours include Parachinar, Astore -11.0°C, Kalam -10°C, Skardu -9.0°C, Malamjabba -8.0°C, Hunza -7.0°C, Gupis, Rawalakot -6.0°C, Drosh -5.0°C, Gilgit, Chitral -3.0°C, Garidupatta -2.0°C, Murree, Abbotabad -1.0°C.
