The heavy rain and hailstorm kept people trapped on roads for several minutes in Lahore. Heavy downpour and hailstorm on Friday showered the whole city within minutes, causing flood-like situation at low-lying areas and tripping of several electricity feeders.

The rain and hailstorm started following a heavy wind storm. The roads and low-lying areas were covered with water and flood-like situation.
Some areas of the city also witnessed hailstorm along with the downpour. The inundated roads caused traffic jam that kept people trapped.
Earlier, it rained in the morning as well causing weather to turn pleasant across the city. Reportedly, other cities of Punjab including Gujranwala also witnessed the downpour.
