Bollywood Dabangg Khan has replaced Pakistani heartthrob actor Fawad Khan opposite to Katrina Kaif in Karan Johar’s new production ‘Raat Baaki’.Previously, it was also reported that Saif Ali Khan will be the new hero of the film.
“While KJo’s next directorial will be with Ranbir Kapoor, he wants to produce a film with Salman and Katrina in the lead as he finds their chemistry sizzling. Earlier, the same film was to star Pakistani actor Fawad Khan along with Katrina, but with the ban on Pakistani actors during Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, that is not happening,” a source told DNA.
The pre-production work on the film has started.
Earlier, Karan Johar said that it was his honor to work with Pakistani actor Fawad Khan in ‘Ae Dil Hai Muskli’ and that he wants to work with him once again.
Speaking at a media discussion in London School of Economics, Karan Johar was asked if he would be keen in working with Pakistani actors after their ban in Bollywood. The director replied that everyone knows what had happened to him last time.
He said: “For me the talent has no boundaries but unfortunately, I stand in the minority.”
Responding to a question related to working with Fawad Khan, Karan Johar said that: “I think some of the most exceptional talent comes from Pakistan. I had the honour and pleasure to actually direct Fawad Khan, have seen his exceptional work and it was immensely brave of him to do what he did in Kapoor & Sons.”
