Pakistani actress Veena Malik has obtained ‘khula’ from her husband Asad Khattak through court, ending her three years of marriage.
The counsel of Veena Malik, Ali Ahmed, has confirmed the separation between Veena and Asad, saying that the family court issued the decree on January 31, 2017 after the actress filed for khula.
The court ruled in favour of Veena as Asad failed to proceed with the case, he said. He refused to give further details.
Veena and Asad had got married on December 25, 2013 and they have two children together.
According to sources, Veena filed for khula after a rift with Asad and his family over her return to showbiz.
Veena and Asad have not commented on the proceedings yet.
