    An Indian filmmaker has refused to attend the Filmfare awards over the nominations of Pakistani artists.

    The filmmaker who is a recipient of several Filmfare awards has taken the move as a show of protest and said that she will not attend any ceremony in which Pakistani artists are invited.

    At least four Pakistani artists have been nominated for the 62nd Jio Filmfare Awards 2017 due to held in Mumbai.

    Fawad Khan has been nominated in the Best Actor in a Supporting Role (Male) category for his role in Kapoor & Sons.

    Two Pakistani singers have been nominated in the Best Playback Singer (Male) category. Atif Aslam for Tere Sang Yara (Rustom) and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan for Jag Ghoomeya (Sultan).

    Qurat-ul-Ain Balouch (QB) has been nominated in the Best Playback Singer (Female) category for her song Kari Kari in Pink.
