Prominent actor and singer Nadeem Jafri escaped unhurt on Thursday when robbers opened fire at his vehicle during robbery in Karachi.
According to the actor, Nadeem Jafri and his cousins where going somewhere in a car when two armed bandits on motorbike intercepted the vehicle outside his Gulshan-e-Iqbal residence at around 5:30am.
“There were two gunmen who snatched cash and mobiles from all of us. When they started the bike to flee, my cousin Dr. Raza opened fire on the robbers.
In response, they also returned fire and the shootout lasted for about 40 seconds. Thank God! No one was injured,” Nadeem Jafri told Samaa.
He was of the view that the gunmen had no intension to kill him. “It was just a robbery attempt,” he said.
Meanwhile, police registered a FIR of the incident.
