The court ordered Meera to be arrested and brought forth on November 17th.
The complaint against the controversial Lollywood actress was filed by her alleged ex-husband Atiq-ur-Rahman. Her husband Atiq-ur-Rahman had stated that Meera was already married to him yet she had resorted to another Nikah, which was against the law.
“Meera should be tried in accordance with the law,” said Ateeq-ur-Rahman.
Last year, a sessions court in March issued an arrest warrant for Meera for her failure to appear in court despite repeated summons issued over a plea seeking registration of a criminal case on charges of filming a ‘controversial video clip’ and uploading it on social media.
Meera had denied the video’s authenticity and had called it as an attempt to undermine her credibility.
