Sindh-wide matriculation examination commenced on Tuesday amid electric load-shedding.

The students remained deprived of electricity and cold drinking water as K-Electric continued load-shedding at the examination centres despite Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah's directives.

Earlier on, Shah had directed the chief secretary to coordinate with K-Electric, HESCO, and SESCO to ensure smooth supply of power to examination centres.

“I will suggest that you reduce load-shedding even at night so that students can prepare properly for their examinations,” the CM had said.

The first phase of examination conducted by Board of Secondary Examination Karachi (BSEK) for General group are underway, whereas Science group's exams will begin on April 15.

45000 students will appear for general group's exams in the 83 examination centres formed by BSEK in Karachi.

Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sukkur also conducted ninth and tenth grade examinations today.
