President Mamnoon Hussain has said education is the key to progress of nations and called for concerted efforts to improve the standard of education across the country.
He was talking to Vice Chancellor, Quaid-e-Azam University, Prof Dr. Javed Ashraf and Rector, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Dr. Syed Muhammad Junaid Zaidi who separately called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.
He emphasized that educational institutions should also focus on character building of their students apart from imparting quality education.
Vice Chancellor Quaid-e-Azam University and Rector COMSATS Institute of Information Technology briefed the President about academic, administrative and financial matters relating to their respective institutions.
