    Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Wednesday said that the government needs at least two to three years to end load shedding.

    He said that the agreement with K-Electric has ended and that they can produce their own electricity now.

    Addressing the media conference, Asif said that the electricity load shedding situation has improved compared to previous year and that two to three years are still required for complete fix to the problem.

    The federal minister said that the land worth 101 billion dollars has been purchased for Diamer-Bhasha Dam.

    He said the agreement with K-Electric has ended, adding that they can produce their own electricity now.
