  • Pakistan, China to sign 10,000 MW power deals next month

    Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Friday said that China and Pakistan will sign 10,000 MW power projects in next month.

    He said the two sides will sign agreements including a coal power project, two hydal power projects, a solar and four wind power plants.

    Power minister said that Thar coal will be used in the coal power plant.

    A 1000 megawatt solar power project and 1590 MW hydal power projects will also be completed in various parts of the country.

    Khawaja Asif said that no loan was taken from China for various power projects adding the Chinese companies were making $ 14 billion direct foreign investment in power sector.
